A duet that Brings Fuel Efficiency and a Superb Ride

The term "hybrid system" refers to vehicle that combine two different power sources. Toyota's hybrid system combined a gas/petrol engine and an electric motor, realizing a cutting edge driving experience with high fuel efficiency.

Two Power Sources that Bring Greater Efficiency

By using two different power sources hybrid vehicle are able to maximize the strengths of each. For example, to improve overall efficiency with both a gas/petrol engine and an electric motor, this system takes advantage of the energy-efficient electric motors to run the vehicle in the low speed range, and calls on the poor fuel-efficient gas/petrol engine to run the vehicle in the higher speed range.
