The 2nd-generation Prius featured a dramatically more enjoyable driving experience. 90% of the vehicle’s system was newly redeveloped for the 3rd-reneration Prius. The Toyota Hybrid System continues to evolve rapidly.
From Japan to the World
With the 2nd-generation Prius, the aim was to dramatically improve environmental performance and ride quality with the advanced “THSII” hybrid system. Efficiency was enhanced through the use of a higher voltage level and improved energy management, thereby upgrading fuel performance and heightening power output which led in turn to even more powerful running, bringing a whole new level of both eco-friendliness and driving fun.
